Yesterday at school, Westlaw had a training class on cost effective research. I learned valuable information on how not to charge a client or a firm I’m working for thousands of dollars in Westlaw fees.
In addition to improving my legal research skills and thus making myself more marketable, I received a free leather portfolio. Now I can intimidate my moot court competitors with the intense aura of professionalism that this portfolio gives me.

Additionally, I earned 1,000 Westlaw points. Not too bad for 45 minutes of my time. I just need a few more points and the Ipod mini will be mine.

I’ve posted before on the benefits of Westlaw and Lexis points. Not only do you improve your research skills, you can get free stuff. If you’re not taking full advantage of Westlaw or Lexis points, start today!

I got one of these bad boys last year. It’s pretty spiffy!

That was the best part of law school! I got an iPod, video games for my husband’s video game systems, DVDs and all the Itunes I could manage to download in those three years. I was such a point-whore, I’d go to any training offered and always do the bonus hunts for points and such.
