Technorati Doesn’t Like My Blog

I’ve been having trouble with Technorati lately. For the past month, they haven’t been indexing The Frugal Law Student. I’ve been checking out the Help forums to see what the problem is. From the looks of things, I’m not the only one with this problem. I haven’t found what’s causing the problem or how I can solve it except for sending an e-mail to Technorati tech support. But it looks like tech support is pretty slow. Many people have been waiting for weeks to get their problems solved.

Brett,
You’re definitely not the only one with this problem. One of my clients has several blogs that are “flagged for review.” Tech support has been a joke.
I would wager that this is some kind-of anti-spam measure Technorati is using. Many of the problem blogs I’ve noticed in the support forums are on Blogger (as yours was previously). Blogger is notorious for splogs. But that’s just conjecture on my part.
Good luck,
Andrew
I can feel this pain. Here’s what I did the first time.

That time it took them about 24 hours to get things fixed. I had it happen again a few weeks ago and just used the support form a couple of times in a row. Took them about 2 weeks to get it worked out.
The trick with Technorati, you gotta bug the crap out of them before they’ll do anything.
Mine wasn’t updating and it took a little over 2 weeks for them to fix it after I emailed them. Good luck!
Technorati wasn’t updating for me for over 6 weeks. I submitted a ticket to tech support, and didn’t get any help. Then, I posted a reply to a complaint on one of the forums on Technorati, saying that I was having the same problem and that I had blogged about it on my website.
Hours later, the problem was solved and Technorati started indexing my blog!
(Last week I finally got a response from their tech desk saying they didn’t see anything wrong with my blog, and that it was indexing just fine … yeah, over 2 months AFTER I submitted the ticket!)
Krystal-
That’s what I ended up doing. It’s funny that admin responds more
Krystal-
Sorry about that. What I was saying was that it’s funny that admin responds more quickly to complaints in forums than they do to e-mails. It looks like Technorati’s customer service system isn’t very efficient
