Hey, thanks for mentioning my money diet post. I liked the “track your expenses” retro post, too, because I think something you mentioned is a common problem with Money/Quicken - people set it up but it’s SO automated everyone gets lazy! I use a spreadsheet, and it forces me to actually SEE progress when I input information. It’s not so much the tools you use, but how you use them - good thing to remember.
You’re welcome! Yeah, automation has definitely made me lazy. Sometimes the most rudimentary tools (like a spreadsheet) are the best ones.
