Today I finished filling out my character and fitness exam for the bar. What a relief to get that off my shoulders. Legal Andrew has a great post that discusses the pros of turning the application in early. My biggest reason was saving money. In Oklahoma, if 1L’s turn in their application before next October, the fee is only $125 rather than $500. A savings of $375! That’s a hefty hunk of change.

Gathering the information required for the application is the hard part, however, Legal Andrew suggests using your credit report to help you find some of it quickly.
